In February 2023, JSC Volga became a new member of Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, which provides comprehensive support for implementation of investment projects, promotion of goods and brands in new markets.
During the meeting of representatives of JSC Volga and Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RAUIE) further cooperation and dialogue with the Russian-Asian business community roadmap was developed.
Sergey Pondar, CEO of JSC Volga, commenting on the decision to join the Union, noted: “JSC Volga aims to actively develop cooperation with companies from Asian countries and we are convinced that membership in RAUIE will be a good basis for further development of our company and subsequent expansion of our presence in Asian markets.”
In 2022, JSC Volga, like many Russian companies, faced restrictions that affected the ability to sell packaging types of paper to Europe. Order portfolio has been adjusted, new sales markets in Southeast Asia countries have opened up.
We are interested in finding reliable equipment suppliers in China, participating in business missions to Asian countries, organizing participation in industry exhibitions, forums and conferences, conducting marketing research, as well as representing and promoting our goods on the Chinese market."
Vitaly Mankevich, the Chairman of RAUIE, added: "We are confident in the prospective cooperation with JSC Volga. In order to start solving the Company's goals of developing Asian markets, we are ready to open a representative office of JSC Volga based on a representative office of RAUIE in China and will have searched and organized necessary equipment, spare parts and chemicals supply. Our extensive contacts and reputation in the region will help JSC Volga to enlist the necessary business contacts with foreign partners and promptly resolve bureaucratic issues. The Сompany itself sets ambitious goals, and we will provide all possible assistance in their realization.”
