PulpFor-2023, an international industry exhibition, will be held in St. Petersburg from 14 to 16 November, in which JSC Volga (Pavilion F, stand E31) will take part in the exhibition.

This year, the Company will present lightweight and ultra-lightweight tare papers, as well as paper for printing and printing products.

As a part of the exhibition, on 14 November, the Volga's General Director Sergey Pondar will take part in the strategic session of the forum "Government and Business: joint solutions for Pulp & Paper and Timber Processing Industry", where he will talk about the strategy of production development in the context of sanctions restrictions.

"Four years ago, against the backdrop of the shrinking newsprint market, we were concerned about diversifying our product portfolio and started producing packaging and corrugated papers. Next year we plan to launch the converted 6th Paper Machine, which will produce high quality testliners and flutings. This machine will allow us to cover the current market needs. We also plan to launch a waste paper line and start producing products from recycled paper. In addition, we are building a condensing turbine with a 27 MW generator in our energy complex. Together all these projects will provide the Сompany with an increase in productivity by about 50%," - said Sergey Pondar.

The Volga's Sales Department will hold meetings and negotiations with business partners and potential customers at stand E31 in Pavilion F.

"The use of reduced weight papers in the production of packaging is a modern trend. The global market is witnessing an active change in consumer habits: share of online purchases is growing, current demand trends create prerequisites for increasing the frequency of transport and reducing the weight of transported cargo," - added Dmitry Krivoruchenko, the Deputy General Director for Sales. - We specialize in the production of lightweight and ultra-lightweight containerboard from 42 gsm to 120 gsm. This sets JSC Volga apart from the majority of competitors who focus on producing more weight-intensive and expensive cartonboards, allowing us to offer the best solutions to our customers and stay on trend.
