JSC Volga once again received the Honorary standard from the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region
At the end of 2019 JSC Volga has become a leading enterprise in the region’s timber industry that makes a significant contribution to the development of industry in Nizhny Novgorod region.
The award ceremony was held online. And in a very near future the award will be delivered to the company.
“The industry is the basis of economic development of Nizhny Novgorod region. Enterprises that were awarded achieved the highest productivity indicators in their area. Usually we hand out the standards in a solemn setting, but this year we have no such opportunity, which is why the awards will be delivered to each enterprise” said Gleb Nikitin, the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region.
The Balakhna papermakers receive the standard the second year in a row. In 2018 the JSC Volga personnel worked just as effectively, which they were awarded for.
“We are very grateful to the government of Nizhny Novgorod region for such a high assessment of our work and for the support of investment projects, thanks to which we increased the productivity by 30% this year. It is a great inceptive for us to further develop production and improve the company's performance indicators” Sergay Pondar, CEO of JSC Volga, commented on this event.
Let us remember that in 2019 the company launched a large-scale investment program to modernize the existing production facilities, as well as to create new ones, and to improve the energy efficiency of the enterprise. The expansion of the thermomechanical pulp (TMP) production became the key project with the investment of more than 1.5 billion rubles.
