Volga JSC received the Conclusion on the state of measurements in the paper laboratory valid until 2025. Compliance with this standard ensures that the products of the paper plant meet all stages of quality control and is confirmed by the conclusions made by the State Regional Center for Standardization, Metrology and Testing in Nizhny Novgorod region.
"As always, the quality of ready products is our top priority. Every three years, Volga JSC examines the equipment of the paper laboratory. This year, in addition to the inspection on newsprint, we added paper for corrugating, which is now also the main product of the paper plant. At the moment, the Conclusion on the state of measurements of the laboratory is obtained for 4 types of products," said Svetlana Guryleva, the head of the department of laboratory and technical control and quality.
For several months, the employees of the Laboratory and Technical Control and Quality Department (LTCQD), under the supervision of a Category 1 Engineer for metrology of the Metrological Support Department of Nizhny Novgorod Mining and Metrology Center, developed regulatory documents and examined them for compliance with the new requirements. In addition to the documentation, the analysis of the laboratory equipment operation was carried out. Every three years, employees of the paper laboratory undergo training according to the approved program, so the confirmation of personnel competencies was an important stage in the process of obtaining the Conclusion.
"Despite the fact that the examination takes place every three years, preparation for it is our daily work. We continuously keep records in order to ensure the required accuracy of readings of instruments and test equipment, their metrological verification and certification are carried out. Due to the fact that earlier Volga JSC received a certificate of QMS (Quality Management System), this year more stringent requirements were imposed for the verification of documents," said Elena Rumyantseva, the head of the paper laboratory. "Many regulatory documents have changed over the past three years. Therefore, despite the fact that the certification process remains the same, the work is complicated by the filling out newly issued documents".
The final stage of the survey was the inspection of the laboratory tests by the employees of the Nizhny Novgorod Center for Standardization and Metrology. The staff of the paper laboratory demonstrated a high level of professional training and confirmed their competence."

The Conclusion on the state of measurements in the paper laboratory received this year guarantees that the products of Volga JSC undergo all stages of quality control on certified equipment. Compliance with such standards is a clear advantage of our paper for the customers of the paper plant," Svetlana Guryleva summed up the results of the inspection.
