Four products of JSC Volga became diploma holders and laureates of the federal stage of the 100 Best Goods of Russia programme in 2022.
In the nomination "Production of industrial and technical purpose" the expert committee awarded diplomas to the bulky paper used for printing and other graphic purposes, corrugated paper and newsprint (GOST 6445-74).
Reduced weight paper designed for printing newspapers, magazines, advertising leaflets, booklets and methodological manuals received the highest rating and the status of a laureate of the competition.
According to the contest regulations, these products can be labelled with the "100 Best Goods of Russia" sign for two years.
The high assessment of the expert committee is the result of the successful work of the entire Volga team in implementing unique technologies for the production of packaging and printing paper from 100% thermo-mechanical pulp (TMP).
The use of 100% TMP allows to manufacture an environmentally friendly product that is not inferior in terms of consumer properties to cellulose and recovered paper. The use of reduced weight papers in corrugated board production is a modern trend and makes it possible to reduce the specific consumption of components (per square meter of board) without compromising the strength of the structure.
