Volga JSC actively cooperates with students and graduates of specialized high schools and universities in our country. In November this year, representatives of the HR department attended three career events in St. Petersburg, Ivanovo and Moscow.

On November 13 and 14, the 5th International Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists of Pulp and Paper Industry "Modern Pulp and Paper Industry. Current Challenges and Promising Solutions", held at the Higher School of Technology and Energy. The event included a lively panel discussion entitled "Career of a Young Specialist: New Promising Trends and Demand for Special Skills", which was attended by Svetlana Gorbunova, Deputy Director General for Human Resources at Volga JSC. During the discussion the issues of career building, opening of new jobs at the enterprises, training and education of young personnel - everything that can interest young specialists were touched upon.

The business program of the second day included an experience exchange session "How to know yourself through internships and choose a career?", where students of the field "Technological processes and equipment of pulp and paper production", who had summer internship this year at Volga paper mill, shared their impressions. In addition, a competition for students and young professionals was held on November 14. The jury members included representatives from Volga JSC: Aleksandr Barinov, Deputy Director of Major Investment Projects and Sergei Korostelev, Chief Technologist. They evaluated in-person reports and presentations given by the fellows.

After visiting the university in the Northern Capital of Russia, the HR service went to the V.I. Lenin Ivanovo State Power Engineering University, where they participated in a job fair. During the poster session, they talked to graduates of the following fields of studies: Heat Power Engineering and Heat Engineering, Management in Technical Systems, Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering. They also described current vacancies and the advantages of working at Volga JSC.

The last stop of the HR department was the exhibition-fair "My Career" at the N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University (Mytishchi branch). Irina Khudiakova, Head of the Recruitment Department, and Arina Listikova, Head of the Training and Development Department, conducted a training session "Secrets of a Successful CV" for students of specialized areas. "The guys were able to learn the rules of CV writing, the ability to identify their strengths and attract the employer's attention to their candidacy," said Irina Khudiakova. - Participation in job fairs helps us to attract young specialists to the company, form an external talent pool and strengthen our employer brand".
