On February 9, the award ceremony for the laureates and prize-winners of the All-Russia competition “100 best goods in Russia” for 2020 took place at the technopark “Ankudinovka” (Nizhny Novgorod). The diplomas and quality declarations for the competitive products were handed to the best enterprises of the Nizhny Novgorod region by Andrey Sanosyan, Deputy Governor, and Denis Mironov, Director of the Center for Standardization, Metrology and Testing “Rosstandard” in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Andrey Gurylev, Deputy General Director for Production, took part in the event on behalf of JSC Volga.

Throughout the last year the company has maintained the leading positions in world markets thanks to the successful integration of new technology, a fast change in priorities and the mastering of different packaging paper grades production, but most importantly thanks to the professional work of the papermaking team.

At the production site of JSC Volga, audits of the paper-making machine 8 in paper plant 3 as well as of technological equipment in the thermomechanical pulp production plant are being carried out; as reported by the head of production Nikolay Skvortzov.

The outgoing year turned out to be quite difficult for JSC Volga, but generally successful. The Company implemented investment projects on schedule and as a result increased production and sales by more than 20 thousand tons. Further plans to increase production volumes by 1.5-2 times are related to the fast-growing packaging segment while maintaining the position in the newsprint segment.

Priority areas for the company in the outgoing year were the implementation of a major investment project for the construction of a new thermomechanical pulp plant, as well as sustainable development, diversification of the product portfolio, modernization of the main and auxiliary production facilities.
